“Holi Festival Indian Dinner”
A collaboration between Black Dog Chef David Perez and Sous Chef Peter Vang with Saint Paul based Ancient Indian Spices purveyors of incredibly good, organic spice mixes, hand-crafted in small batches.
$18 per person, drinks, tax, and gratuity not included.
This will be primarily a vegetarian menu with a lamb curry. A strictly vegetarian option will be available.
The Black Dog Bar will be serving an India-inspired cocktail as well.

Known as the festival of colors, or the festival of sharing love, Holi announces the arrival of spring and the passing of winter. The festival creates an atmosphere of social merriment between people of all religious backgrounds. People bury their hatchets with a warm embrace and throw their worries to the wind. Every nook and corner presents a colorful sight. Some of the spices in the Ancient Indian Spices blends are actually used in India as colored powder for Holi.
Ancient Indian Spices are incredible, organic spice mixes handcrafted in small batches here in St. Paul, Minnesota. Each spice is individually selected, dry roasted to allow the natural fragrance and flavor to emerge, then ground and blended in accordance with traditional recipes from India. Their spices are sourced from dedicated, award-winning organics companies and are gluten-free, non-GMO and mostly fair trade and kosher.
Ancient Indian Spices will be on site for questions, recipe ideas, as well as having products and spice blends available for purchase.
